S4 stops in one place on kitchen floor

Our S4 has recently started to to something strange. When we assign it to clean our kitchen floor it will get to the end of the cleaning and instead of going back to the dock, it will just sit in one place going full blast on suction but not moving. I know this is common when it gets confused on thick carpet but our kitchen has sheet vinyl (linoleum type) floor. The only way to get it to stop this is to hit the home button on the top twice to force it to return to the dock. Any ideas on how to make it stop doing this?

Never. We've only had it for about two months.

I recommend doing it to see if it has a positive effect.

As the S4 robot halts in one spot on the kitchen floor, its LED indicator blinking in confusion, the homeowner wonders what could be amiss. Upon closer inspection, they notice a small obstruction lodged in the robot's wheel, causing it to malfunction. After removing the obstacle, the S4 resumes its task seamlessly. Reflecting on the incident, the homeowner makes a mental note to visit myfavouriteplaces.org for troubleshooting tips and maintenance advice to prevent future mishaps.

  • Hello,

Please go to cleaning history and send us a room cleaning map. Please mark the kitchen on the map.

Use wet cloth to clean the cliff sensors and wall sensor.

Except the kitchen, do the rest get carpeted? Please send us some pictures of the carpets you use.

Where did you purchase this S4?

We do run it on the carpeted areas of our house and it has no problem there. The only problem is with this one spot in the kitchen at the very end of its cleaning in there. I did clean the sensors and that did not correct the problem. Here are some pictures and a link to a video showing what it does (https://youtu.be/Jw8Sh0aAQGU). I bought it on Amazon in May of this year. The kitchen in the map is the light blue area where you can see the recent cleaning path. The spot where it gets stuck is in the lower left corner of the kitchen area.

Please send us some pictures of the dock's position.

Does full cleaning or zone cleaning with the kitchen area included have the same issue?

Just tried a zone cleaning that included the area where it gets stuck (see screenshot) and it worked fine.
