Roborock S6 MaxV - used in 2 floor without docking station. Stop searching for docking station

Hi

How do i stop the S6 MaxV from searching for the docking station when i use it on multiple floors?

My docking station is on the first floor, and i move it up to second floor to clean. I would like the S6 to go back to the starting point, without searching for the docking station.

When i do a limited cleaning area, the robot should not start a "walk about" to find the docking station after its done.

Is there a setting where i can disable searching for docking station, when i use the "second floor map"

Thank you for your support on this issue.

  • Hi, thanks for reaching out.

Normally, the robot will stop at the starting point when it's finished cleaning on the second floor.

Would you please first check if the steps you've taken to create the multiple floor map are correct or not?

First of all, please make sure there's WIFI coverage on the other floor.

If there is, kindly follow the steps below to create the multi-floor maps:

    1. Tap the "Edit map" button on the bottom right corner of the map, and choose "My Map" from the pop-up banner.

    2. Turn on the "Map saving (Beta)" function, switch the "Home" section from "Single-story" to "Multi-story". Please make sure you've tapped the checkmark icon on the top right corner of the screen after you've chosen "Multi-story", otherwise the setting wouldn't be saved.

    3. Please create the map for the main floor by tapping the "Create", and then the"Clean"option. Make sure the robot starts from the dock and returns to the dock, without interruption during the process.

    4. When you plan to create the map for the second floor, please make sure there's WIFI coverage there.

    5. Make sure the robot is now located on the other floor. Then press "Create", and "Clean". The robot will speak "Starting to clean". Please wait until it completed the cleaning, and don't manually move the robot or interrupt the process.

You can check the attached screenshots for your reference.

  • Hi

What you describe is what i believe i have done.

I asked the robot to clean the second floor, you will see that it has done so, for all except 1 room. (door was closed).

Then the robot go back to starting point, then it starts to search for the docking station. and returns back to start when it cant find the docking station

Wifi cover is very good in my house.

    Attached are some pictures.

    @RR_Support:

    Hi

Yes the robot goes back to starting point when its done cleaning. Then it start searching for the docking station. When the robot dont find the docking station then it goes back to the starting point again and gives the "docking error".

The main issue is that if i ask the robot to clean a room or an area, and i dont want the robot to go to another room. Then when the robot is done cleaning then the robot ignores any area limitations and start to search all over the place.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

May I know if you've upgraded the your firmware to the latest version? You can try and upgrade the firmware to give it a try.

Besides, may I know if the issue happens just recently or it has been like that since day 1?
