Poor standby battery performance (S4)

Poor standby battery performance (S4)

We don't have a very large area for cleaning and we can do our living area with a balanced clean with about 35-40% use (mainly hardfloor, tile and a couple low-profile rugs)

After the unit gets to 100% charge I tend to switch the power off at the wall for safety and also not to waste electricity.

But the unit discharges the battery a LOT while sitting at its station doing nothing. At least 2% per hour. That's a huge drop in battery capacity considering there are no motors running. Can this be made more efficient as that's too much power wasted on doing nothing?

  • Dear Customer,

In standby mode, the wifi is still connected and the vacuum will be ready to operate at any time, it is normal that the unit discharges the battery 2% per hour.

And you do not have to worry about the power wasted or the fee. As the designed voltage and the batter capacity, the power consumption it uses a month is still low.

Usually, we suggest customers put device on dock all the time if it is used every week. After battery is fully charged, only mother board of device is charged and customers don't need worry battery is fully charged for a long time and may decrease the lifespan. Besides,it doesn't cost much electricity even if it is put on dock for a long time.

The device will turn off auto without any operation after 24 hours if it is not on dock and customers have to manually hold power button to turn on it, which is not convenient if it is often used.

Of course, we still suggest customers turn off device if it will not be used for several weeks.
