Need advise for creating no mop zones

I have an S5 Max and absolutely love it, however I’m struggling with creating accurate no mop zones as area rugs do not show up on the map so I essentially have to guess when creating them. Any tips on how to accurately create no mop zones? Also, after mopping/vacuuming, what’s the easiest way to then vacuum the area rugs since they will be skipped when the mopping attachment is engaged.

Thanks so much!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.

  • Put obstacles at the corners of the rug. Maybe shoes would work. Run a normal clean and the obstacles should visible on the map either because it recognised them for S6 maxv or had to work around them for any robot.

    Note: The boundary of the no-go zone corresponds with mid point of the robot.

    @Mark:

    Funny, this is exactly what I ended up doing 😀. So what do you do about vacuuming the no mop zones after the mopping is complete? The only thing I can think of is to do zoned cleanings just for the carpets and rugs in order to avoid sweeping the entire floor again, however these zones can’t be saved or scheduled. This seems like an omission on Roborock’s part unless I’m missing something...

    1. Make sure water tank and mopping module are installed, or no-mop zone is invisible on map without mopping module installed.
    2. Robot won't go to the no-mop zone on map when mopping module is installed. I'm afraid that you need remove the mopping system to vacuum the rug.
    3. No-mop zone becomes invalid when mopping module is removed.
