Roborock S7 and Google WiFi

Roborock S7 and Google WiFi

I'm hoping to score an S7 on Wednesday when they go on sale. This will be my first robot. One thing that concerns me is setting it up. I see that it runs on 2.4GHz WiFi which is fine, but I have Google Wifi which is both 2.4 and 5GHz with the same SSID for both. There is no way to change the SSID. My phone is connected to 5GHz with, as far as I can tell. no way to force it on 2.4GHz. Will I still be able to set up the Roborock if it's on 2.4GHz and my phone is on 5GHz or should I expect issues?

  • I have my brand new S7 connected with no problems at dual Wi-Fi.

The setup is automatic, I think it's using some Bluetooth as bridge for setup.

However, my old S5 is also working in that environment. ..
