Brand New Out of the Box S7 maxv internal error

This thing doesn't work out of the box. All I get is error after error; cliff sensor error, internal error, and others. Can't even do a quick map. In fact, it cannot get out of the dock on its own. I called support and not much help. Told me I probably shouldn't have done an update before I tried it. The only option they gave was a factory reset. Same result afterward. I try to remote control and it will go forward and turn right, but cannot turn left or go backward. What can I do? Maybe just return it to the store.

  • Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to Customer Support and we are sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your device.

If the internal error is related to the short or open circuit of the wheel or ODO error, like error 105, 106, 107, 108 or 116,

    please try the method below:

    1. Put the device on the ground, push it aggressively forward&backward for around 10 sec (like using an eraser). You can push it with some force like in the video below:

    https://youtu.be/MiBkw_lcTF8

    2. When you feel there's less resistance in the wheels, start cleaning again to see if it works.

    Notice:

Manually pushing the device would cause an overheat of the motor. If the resistance is still high after erasing the wheel for 10 seconds, please wait for a while until the motor cools down, and then try it again.

If it's not working, it seems that there's something wrong with the device and warranty service is needed. Please get in touch with support@roborock.com to get further assistance.

    Best regards.
