Specify pattern - vertical or horizontal cleaning

Hello, I have a Roborock S5 Max. We have wooden floors. Wooden boards of the floor are long and narrow. Please see attached photo of the floor.

S5 Max sometimes cleans the Z pattern along the length of the boards and sometimes across the boards. For mopping it seems more efficient if the Z pattern was along the length of the board. Checking the settings in the Roborock App, there does not seem to be a way to specify in which direction should the robot execute the Z pattern.

My suggestion is to provide an option to customize the pattern per room, either horizontal or vertical.

I also have a directional floor - LVP. I think the mopping performance would be improved if the S5 Max would follow the directions of the boards.

Hi friend,

Go to edit room in map, divide your floor room in 2 smaller rooms, Remember that The Robot always go following direction of the length of your room not the wide. So you choose which way you should divide your floor room to make your robot go direction you want. Let’s me know if it’s a solution for you.
