Hello. I just purchased the S5. I am trying to add it to the app, but in the WiFi step, the app continues to say “Please select the device WiFi and try again.” I am already connected to the device WiFi, so I don’t know what else to do.
I don’t know if this matters, but in the step to select which Roborock I have, it doesn’t show the S5, so I selected S5 Max.

The S5 supports Mi Home app only. Please use Mi Home instead of Roborock app.
And you need select the correct model number, which is S5. Please refer to the instruction below to connect it.

That is ridiculous given the S4 and S5 Plus work with the new app. To make it worse, you cannot use Mi Home app with newer version of Android. Is there a workaround for this to get Mi Home working?
All robots support Mi Home app and some of them support Roborock app, including S4, S5 Max, S6, S6 Pure, S6 MaxV. We will forward the request to our tech team and hope that they will manage to add them in Roborock app.
You can also forward the request to support non-alphanumeric characters in the wifi name!
