S4 Max availability and use of Amazon as sole seller

I placed an order for an S4 Max on October 20th. Amazon promised delivery in early November then, and at the end of last week, set 11/2/20 as the delivery date. Today, 11/2, however, they delayed delivery until 12/10-13 at the earliest, and they say they can't promise even then, as they don't know when it will be in stock.

I'm curious when we can actually expect these to be back in stock. And with Amazon as the sole seller, why are delivery promises being made that aren't being kept?
