Roborock S6 - gentle mode not visible

Roborock S6 - gentle mode not visible

For a few months I don't have the option in 'Clean mode': 'Gentle', just only 'Silent', 'Balanced', 'Turbo' and 'Max'. Also in the 'Vacuum settings', I don't see the setting 'Gente mode' which I've previously enabled and it allowed me to choose this mode in 'Clean mode'.

Right now I'm not able to start this mode, so mopping using one of those 4 clean modes isn't efficient at all for mopping.

I'm using Xiaomi Home v6.0.210 and Roborock S6 with firmware 3.5.8_2516. When I'm putting the water tank into Roborock, it detects a properly installed tank.

I've tried to reinstall the app Xiaomi Home, using different mobiles, everywhere the same result. Unfortunately, right now mopping is useless for me :(.

Please help.

  • Hello,

    With the latest firmware installed, we have removed the gentle mode. FYI, gentle mode(mop mode) will cut down the vacuum strength to lowest and robot will still work when mop mode is enabled.

    While it will take effect once only, after robot finishes cleaning and backs to charge, the gentle mode will change to the previous cleanup mode.

    While we have optimized the noise issue in the latest firmware. And this feature has nothing to do with the mopping feature. If you want to mop, please fill water into the water tank, wet the mop cloth and install them to the robot. It will work once you started the robot.

  • Hi,

    to make sure I understand correctly when the water tank with water is put into the robot it will automatically start mopping and for the most efficient mopping is it to set the 'Clean mode' set to 'Silent'? Did I catch it correctly?

    I'm a bit confused because I remember that 'Gentle mode' had a different cleaning path, I would say the Roborock made some circles in that mode instead of going just forward (like it is in the rest of the normal modes). It was caused more efficient mopping in my opinion.

    @Cwirek:

    The cleaning mode has nothing to do with mopping feature. With the mopping system installed, it will start mopping once you started the robot.
