Laser distance sensor malfunctioned.

Laser distance sensor malfunctioned.

Hello. I have an Roborock S50, which today got the error "Laser distance sensor malfunctioned. Try turning the laser head to make it isn't blocked."

The orange laser wheel is not blocked, it rotates. Has anyone had this problem before? How did you solve it?

  • Hi,

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    1. Could you pls first check if the laser head can spin by itself or not when you start the robot?

If Laser head is not spinning, could you pls check if there is anything stuck on it? You could use a pen to move it manually first and start device again to see if it works.

    2. If the issue still persists, could you please send us a video to show the abnormal behavior? It is suggested to upload the video online like google drive and send us the video link if the video is large. (remember add our address to list to access video)
