Multifloor - no longer returns to starting position

I have noticed since the last firmware upgrade for my S4, that, when used on a floor without a dock, the vacuum does not return to the starting position which it always did before. It wanders around for a few minutes then stops (sometimes in a room that was not set to clean) and says “Unable to return to starting position”
