Day 2 in operation - had been running for a while with no issues when all of the sudden I got an Error 1. Turret is spinning during operation and there's no obvious obstruction or anything blocking the laser. The error repeats over and over and the robot can no longer position itself. Tried moving it to a few different places in the house but the error is consistent and it's currently non-operational.
In the app, when you load up the robot, it says "no map found". However, if you press "clean" the map suddenly appears as the robot attempts to locate itself (at which point error 1 will occur). I can restore the map and it appears for use, but again the robot fails to position itself. In fact, even though it's on the dock - when you hit "clean" it just starts spinning and knocking the dock around (instead of reversing off the dock first).
Tried powering the robot off and back on. Looked for visible debris on or near the turret but don't see anything. Happy to disassemble if there's an obvious fix here due to a loose connection or something but don't want to create any warranty issues.
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to Customer Support and we are sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your device.
If the laser turret is spinning but the device still gives the error 1, there may be something wrong with the laser turret.
We suggest you contact support@roborock.com to get further assistance. Please also provide the purchase information and the device's SN.
Open the cover of the device and take out the dustbin. There's a barcode on the device (not on dustbin). The SN is under the barcode like R0201S82418800.
If the device has already been added to the app, SN could also be checked there. See attached picture "info"
Best regards.
