S7 offline will not connect

S7 offline will not connect

Went offline one night:

turned off and back on

Went through the procedures to reconnect online -- app sees the roborock wifi but says no internet.

Tried this many more times

Reset the S7

still would not connect

cleared app cache

deleted and reinstalled the app

still would not connect

Have done this over the last 3 days thinking maybe the problem was the online syncing

Took this to a new 2.5 wifi and tried to connect still the same (wanted to eliminate local wifi issue)

Don't know what to do next. I have read the many other offline issues on the support but none of them solved my issue.

Thanks,

Daniel

  • Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to Customer Support and we are sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your device.

In this case, we suggest you try the following:

    1. Please reboot the robot first.

Note: Move the robot off the dock, press the power button for 3-5 seconds to turn it off/on manually.

    2. Please then delete the offline device and reconnect it.

    1) Press and hold the offline device on the app and then remove/delete it.

    2) After that, please reconnect it to the home wifi.

If that still doesn't work, please try a hard reset on the robot.

Step 1. Hold the recharge button for 3-5 seconds.

Step 2. Press the reset button next to wifi LED with a pin just once. Then the light of the power button and the recharge button will be out. When doing this, please make sure you're still holding the recharge button without moving.

Step 3. Keep holding the recharge button for 5 seconds after you've pressed the reset button until the light of the power button blinks again, then you'll hear the tone "Restoring the initial version. It will take about five minutes. Please wait with patience". After that, you could stop holding the recharge button.

If none of those solves the issue, please download another app called Mihome to try the connection one more time.

    Best regards.

    @Tiff:

Hi, thanks for your reply. In this case, we suggest you try a factory reset on the robot to have a try:

    The instructions are as follows:
