Roborock dies immediately after leaving dock

Hi y’all!

I just received my roborock s7 from my prime spree =). I was excited to play with it. I tried to map my apartment with it, and it seems like it dies immediate after leaving dock. I charged for about 3 hours. It still dies immediately leaving the charging dock. Do I have a faulty unit? Or i need to charge to full before using it? TY in advance!
